lower numbers of teenage employees

I came across this article about the younger work force decreasing! This surprised me because growing up all of my friends and I worked at 15 and now they are starting to work at older ages. Could this hurt small businesses like restaurants that rely on young workers?

It seems that will definitely have an impact. Teenagers are involved in so many activites that work may seem last on the priority list.

I agree with Kevin. Teenagers are less likely to began work as early as their parents generation did. It seems that many parents today focus solely on their childrens eduction and extra ciricular activies and do instill a work ethic early on.

I agree with the comments. Teens are really focusing more on schoolwork and activities rather than having a job. This could definitely affect small business owners since they definitely rely on teens to fill job openings because teens can go for lower hourly wages and generally aren't working to support their families.

It would have an impact on the business, especially for the ones that normally hire teens. Now we have to spend a lot times on our schoolwork sometimes i find that i can hardly find time to work outside.
